Good evening church family. As you're all aware this past week the government of Alberta implemented new regulations surrounding Church gatherings to help limit the spread of Covid19. The new restrictions limit us to 15% of our capacity for in-person attendance at the church.
After some consultation, we as a pastor's Council have decided to postpone in person service attendance for the month of December. Church will still continue, however we will now meet the needs of our congregation through an online Church experience via Facebook. Preaching and worship will continue on site at the church during Sunday morning. We are encouraging all church members at this time to not visit the church during Sunday morning unless you are part of the speaking or music Ministry.
This decision was not made lightly as we understand the impact that it has on our congregational members. In order to maintain some connection we will continue with Bible study and prayer meetings in person while following covid regulations. We will also still continue to offer these ministries as Hybrid models that you can attend virtually if you so desire.
Please continue to pray that God works through us as a church and gives us direction and guidance as to where we will be going in the future to meet the needs of our community.
We will reassess this position of in church attendance in January and provide an update at that time.
May God richly bless you all this Christmas season. May you enjoy time together, a time of rest, a time of thanksgiving for the year gone by and a time of seeking God's face for the year ahead.
On behalf of the Pastors Council of CLA Merry Christmas!
